James D. Forney
Prof. Forney was twice named outstanding teacher in the Department of Biochemistry. He served as head of Biochemistry from 2001-2008 during which time he hired seven assistant professors, established a mentoring program for untenured faculty, and increased undergraduate enrollment by over 100% (<40 to >90 students). He will organize, administer and oversee the Faculty Learning Communities including the mentoring of post-docs.
