Dennis Minchella, PI
Dennis Minchella is a professor of Biological Sciences who heads a NIH and NSF funded research program studying host-parasite interactions, and has served as President of the American Society of Parasitologists. He has taught Biology to more than 12.000 first-year students over the last 20+ years, and has received teaching awards at the department, college, and university levels. Dennis is a founding member (and former co-chair) of the Purdue Teaching Academy. He is director of the HHMI Undergraduate Science Education Program at Purdue - a multidisciplinary initiative designed to inject statistics and experimental design into the undergraduate life science curriculum. Since July 1st he has served as the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education in the College of Science.
