Ann E. Rundell
Prof. Rundell’s expertise is in quantitative experiment design that employs semi-mechanistic mathematical models and analysis of cellular processes. She has recently received two NSF grants relating to this topic including the CAREER grant. Prof Rundell is the chair of the biomedical engineering undergraduate curriculum committee. She has participated in the development of more than 3 undergraduate laboratory courses and is an advocate for employing active learning methods both in the laboratory and in lecture courses. Her dedication to education is evident by the invitation to participate in the National Academy of Engineering’s Frontiers in Engineering Education. Her role on the project will be to organize and lead the summer research program including the planning and implementation of the Quantitative Training Sessions.
