Undergraduate Summer Research
Student Research – Ann Rundell
Our goal one is to enhance undergraduate education in quantitative biology by providing students with opportunities for authentic research experiences in experimental and quantitative analysis. An HHMI – funded summer research program will: allow students to apply knowledge gained from coursework; provide perspective and develop intuition for quantitative approaches to problems in the life sciences; expose students to potential career paths; and provide experience in rigorous, cutting-edge research. Each year, half of the students in the program will be drawn from our seven summer research partner institutions, which allow us to export the quantitative life science expertise.
